I just read The Dip by my favourite author Seth Godin. “The dip” is that big low you get right after the “honey moon” phase is over with any kind or project or situation in your life. Most people give up or move on when this hits. The real winners are the ones that fight throw this lull and continue on to success (if it’s worth it).
I’ve been frustrated with my recent behaviour — I get so many ideas for projects and by the time I’m almost done — I’m dying to move on to something else. However my project never yields the results desired because I’ve only gotten it to v1.0 - not v3.0 or where ever it needs to be to really succeed.

This book helped me organize and solidify my thoughts on this problem. If anything I’m thankful that I’m now aware of this unwise and contradicting habit. I now know that I need to re-commit myself to my existing projects that are just as exciting and lucrative as they day I committed to them.
Read the dip if you’re not sure if you should keep at your current situation - or move on and refocus yourself to something else. It won’t tell you what exactly to do, but it will give you some ideas to identify if your current situation has long term potential. In the end it comes down to if you have the time/resources and desire to pull yourself out of the dip.
This book has made me more confident about my recent “life restructuring” decisions - I hope it can help you too. See you at the top.
