I got to take a bit of a break and head to the X’06 Conference in Toronto. What a great time, I’m in a lot of shots too! I’ve used a few shots from a few Flickr feeds, check them out for more shots of everything.

Superman

This was a cool demo, I had fun playing it. I want to put up this little exchange I had with the guy at the booth.

Booth Guy: You can pick people and cars up and put them on the rooftops.
Me: [picks up a person and flys really really high]
Booth Guy: Oh.. You can’t drop people as Superman. If you play as Bizarro you can do evil stuff.
Me: So, I can drop people?
Booth Guy: Uh, I can’t say anything about that.

Ha, awesome, that’s the FIRST thing I’m going to do when I rent that game:)

Gears of War

Wow, I was blown away by this game. They had both a single player version and a 8-seat multiplayer LAN version going too. If you were there, I was the guy chainsawin’ you in multi:)

Forza 2

Here is a shot of me playing Forza /w the new 360 wheel. I *loved* this booth, the game was great, the demo was incredible and the guys were really informative about the features of the game.

I took this video with my camera phone. It look’s terrible but it gives you an idea of how the booth was setup.

Check out this car damage shot. The booth guy smashed into a pillar and ripped the front of the car off. The bumper then stays on the track and can damage other cars! Incredible!

I’d just like to say the guys at the Forza booth were really awesome and did a great job of showing off a very early build of the game!

So yea I had a blast! It was good to get away from everything. Especially since I found out I have to wait a few more weeks for the results of a certain competition I am a finalist in!
