Pardon the randomness of this post, these are the small shards of ideas I have about Turk and just wanted to get them out of my head:)
I got my first book from Amazon today paid for entirely from Amazon Turk. Pretty awesome! I’ve been noticing a lot of traffic coming to my site from people googling Amazon Turk. People are getting pretty excited about this service, I know a few people personally that have made over $200 on this site already. www.Turking.com seems to be the new unofficial community. The fourm has a bunch of good resources on new scripts and good discussions. Heh also a thread on funny turk pictures.
I’m not doing as many HITs as I should and I haven’t redone my 1 hour test. I have really sped up the image HITs by using Firefox + greasemonkey and this script. I’m sure I could at least double my last results.
As Turk gets more popular there is less work to go around. People need to start getting work on there, the right idea could make you some good money.
Someone please build this business
Make a website where people can upload their .NET Resource files. They can pick what languages they want them translated to and they are automatically quoted a price. The system then issues the HITs to Turk with a desired language. Working for a few software companies I know there is value in this. This idea can be bootstrapped very easily and requires only some smart programming.
